“No.”

Most people’s initial reaction - when something is presented to them - is with cautious negativity - or, indeed, world-weary disinterest. I have recently experienced a lot of this behaviour, in a field governed by, supposedly, creative and liberal people.

People are inherently cynical and careful when it comes to something unfamiliar - particularly applied to our working life - be it art, science, or business. This is a natural and self-preserving human trait, experienced in every aspect of living. And makes sense - socially and economically. People, above all, want to protect themselves

However.

The people who break this trend are the ones who succeed in life.

Because they refuse to be negative.

How has this still not influenced how we think?

I want to succeed.
